Games and Activities

Crafting Corner

Egg Painting

Didn't get around to painting eggs while Jihli was here? Don't worry! We have blank porcelain eggs for you to paint, dye, and decorate to your heart's content. Ran by Martin Freepaw!

Effigy Making

Bundle up all of your past year's frustrations, tragedies, and woes into an effigy made of sticks, rope, and a lot of imagination. Try not to get too attached - these should be burned at the end of the night, unless you want bad luck following you.

Effigy Burning?

At the end of the night, a bonfire will be lit to burn the effigy or effigies you've made throughout the festival as a way to let go of the winter and the misfortune you might've suffered along with it.

Mead Races

Rules

  • Must sign-up with the game runner near the bridge.

  • Participants will be given two options for mead, but these do not impact their chances. Everyone will drink at the exact same time.

  • Once the race begins, the race will be broken up into 4 rounds.

  • Participants will roll each round to determine whether they make it to the next round and can cross the bridge. They will drink a tankard each round and spin, with the difficulty increasing each time.

  • If participants fail to meet the goal, they are out of the race – and if they aren’t careful, they might fall into the river below - oh no! (Don’t worry, Mimi Fujimori will have towels.)

  • Drink, spin, 1st cross: roll over 200

  • Drink, spin, 2nd cross: roll over 400

  • Drink, spin, 3rd cross: roll over 600

  • Drink, spin, final cross: roll over 800

  • If multiple people make the final cross, the winner will be determined by the highest roll. Happy racing!

Egg Hunts

Rules

  • Plenty of colorful eggs have been planted all around the Undergrowth's yard, and you'll need to bring your bounty to Naid Carville for judgement!

  • Either as an individual or as a group, you will have one roll to determine how many eggs you've found and what your prize is:

  • 450 & Under: It looks like you weren't eggstremely lucky! You still get a Consolation Prize, though.

  • 451-750: You're getting there! For your eggscellent efforts, you've earned a Bronze Prize.

  • 750-900: Absolutely eggsceptional! You've done as well as you can without finding the Golden Egg, and win a Silver Prize.

  • Over 900: You may have found plenty of colored eggs, but more importantly: you found The Golden Egg! One of them, at least. Congreggulations on winning the Grand Prize.

Special Thanks To...

In no particular order...

 Delita's Dagger,

For their continued partnership during the Undergrowth's flagship year, and for helping to fund events like this!

 Our Performers,

Thank you for the music, and for the songs you're singin'!

 The Still & Strings,

For regularly letting us make use of your meads, ciders, and other fares, and for keeping the music playing even when it feels like the ship is sinking.

 The Bel Canto,

For letting us use your wine menu, long after you've closed, and for being the inspiration for events like this. All these things I'd treasured, the ones I'd loved the best, were the things that I'd left behind.

Erah'sae Zhwan & The FFXIV RP Calender,

For helping events like these flourish through years and years of service, and for being a pillar of the XIV community.

 Martin Freepaw,

For being a close friend and one of the best managers I could ask for and regularly enduring my manic nonsense at insane hours of the day, and for your enduring support in event organization. I wouldn't know how to do this without you!
